THE BUILDING
In designing a new building for the school of Built Design, we wanted to strike a balance between maintaining a coherent aesthetic across the campus and enough variety such as to provide ample opportunities for spontaneous interactions.
The design we proposed blended the simplicity of structural efficiency with the delight of interactive spaces by utilizing a 'stacked blocks' layout. This allowed us the freedom of having functional spaces while also incorporating ancillary spaces for student activities. It is in this way that we are able to create a conducive yet vibrant environment for students of the School of Built Design. |
